"551107 Trooper (Lord Strathcona's Horse) Thomas George Bavin (b.1891) of Battleford, SK was KIA 1917,12,01 and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial for soldiers who perished in northern France with no known grave.
He was the son of Mrs. T. Bavin of Crown Hill, Devon, England.
Thomas was born at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, served a year in the RNWMP and was a commercial traveller when he enlisted at Winnipeg early in 1916."

"426896 Private (28th Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment) George Edward Dunkley (b.1887) of Endeavour was KIA 1916,09,29 at Thiepval Ridge and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial north of Arras, Pas-de-Calais, for the 11,000+ Canadian soldiers who perished in northern France with no known grave. He was a native of Chelsea, Greater London, England, and served five years in the RNWMP. George homesteaded SE2-37-6-W2 southwest of Endeavour before enlisting at Regina in 1915, leaving a wife Annie."
