Morley NWMP Detachment
Calgary Stampede Grounds

Morley is a First Nations settlement southern Alberta, Canada.

Morley Detachment is a former NWMP log cabin outpost that was moved from Morley, AB to the Calgary Stampede Grounds several years ago.

Each year, Morley Detachment is staffed on a daily basis during the Calgary Stampede by retired RCMP Veterans of the Calgary Division. Visitors from all over the world stop at the Detachment to chat about the early days of the NWMP, to renew friendships, to share very interesting exchanges with the RCMP Vets and to take photos.

Calgary, AB Division RCMP Vets

Calgary Vets are to be congratulated for participating in the Calgary Stampede, for taking a great interest in the staffing of Morley Detachment each year, for refreshing the history of the North West Mounted Police and for heightening the importance of the NWMP in the early settlement of Canada's west.

Thank You.
