'G' Troop 1964/1965

Members of 'G' Troop were engaged from all across Canada in August 1964. After assembling at 'Depot', Basic Recruit Training began. One member quit early in training. Another member, Tony Amor, joined the Force from London, England Metropolitan Police but he left during the late stages of Basic Training in 1965. We hope that Tony will read our message and contact us.

Our Troop Pass Out was celebrated on May 1, 1965. Nineteen of our Troop were transferred to 'E' Div., four went to 'C' Div., and a few members went to 'B' Div.

Over the years our Troop has kept in contact. In 2004, our Troop celebrated a memorable 40th Troop Reunion at 'Depot' and about 25 members of the Troop were present. And, in 2014, we gathered again at 'Depot to celebrate our Golden Reunion.

Just as we began to plan our 50th Troop Reunion, three members of our Troop passed away. In the early hours of our 50th Reunion, we paused to think of Brian Carline, Don Gavin & Bruce Miller. We remember them.
