Judge Mr. René Marin
In 1985, I had the pleasure to once again meet Mr. René Marin, Canadian jurist.
His Honour, Mr. Marin had been invited to an RCMP Long Service Medal Presentation in Toronto, ON by the CO, Assistant Commissioner R. M. Culligan. I had met Mr. Marin previously in Regina, SK, but it was a grand opportunity to renew our friendship. Mr. Marin has always remained a special Friend of the Force.
As it turned out, I was the President of the 'O' Division Senior NCO's Mess in 1985 and Mr. Marin arrived in Toronto bearing a gift for the NCO's Mess.
In the photo above, I was pleased to accept the gift from Mr. Marin -- a book of antique Canadian stamps. The gift was placed in the NCO's Mess.
To Mr. Marin, I said a memorable Thank You for your kindness over the years.
